Forms Needed for a Release from the Pound:
- You need a VALID Driver’s License, Insurance Card or Title to the vehicle that has been impounded. You must be the owner of the vehicle.
- You must get a VSF form and fill it out IN FRONT of the notary if you plan to pick up a vehicle for someone else. https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/towing/forms/VSF011.pdf
- You cannot access a vehicle if it does not belong to you. You must have the VSF form and proper identification.
- You cannot access an impounded vehicle if you do not have current insurance or proper identification.
